Trauma and EMDR therapy office in Fort Worth, Texas for women leaders

For the woman who seems to have it all together, but feels stuck in overdrive underneath it all

Reclaim calm, clarity, and connection from the inside out

WHEN THE PAST IS STILL SHAPING THE PRESENT

Trauma does not always stay in the past.

It can show up later as anxiety that does not make sense, a body that will not settle, reactions that feel bigger than the moment, or a pattern you keep repeating even though you understand it.

For women entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders, this can be especially confusing because you may still be functioning at a high level.

You are making decisions. Leading people. Running a business. Managing a full life.

But underneath, your nervous system may still be organized around protection, control, urgency, shutdown, or survival.

This work helps your brain and body process what has not fully resolved, so the past does not keep shaping how you feel, respond, and move through your life now.

This work helps with

• Single-event trauma, including medical trauma, accidents, loss, or sudden life-changing events

• Childhood, relational, or attachment trauma that still shapes how you feel and respond

• Chronic anxiety, overthinking, or difficulty relaxing

• Emotional triggers that feel bigger than the moment

• Feeling numb, disconnected, shut down, or burned out

• People-pleasing, perfectionism, and over-functioning rooted in survival

• A body that stays braced, guarded, or on alert

• Shame, imposter feelings, or patterns that keep you from feeling fully like yourself

WHY INSIGHT HASN’T BEEN ENOUGH

You may already have done a lot of work on yourself.

You may understand your childhood, your attachment patterns, your triggers, or the moments that shaped you.

But insight does not always change the nervous system.

Your mind may know you are safe.
Your body may still prepare for threat.

Your mind may know you have choice.
Your system may still move into control, urgency, shutdown, or over-functioning.

That is where EMDR and somatic therapy can help.

HOW EMDR AND SOMATIC THERAPY WORK TOGETHER

EMDR and Somatic Experiencing® are often offered separately.

My work blends both.

For the past 7 years, this has been the focus of my clinical work. I do not use these approaches as occasional tools inside traditional talk therapy. This is the work.

EMDR helps the brain reprocess old experiences so they do not keep carrying the same emotional charge.

Somatic Experiencing® helps us work with what the body and nervous system are still holding. The tension, bracing, shutdown, activation, or protective responses that may not shift through insight alone.

From there, we work with what your system needs in real time, using Somatic Experiencing®, advanced EMDR training, and precise neuro-subconscious work to access the deeper patterns your body has been carrying.

That is where this approach is different.

Not just talking about the pattern.

Working with the brain and body together, so the deeper pattern can begin to shift.

WHAT THIS WORK IS LIKE

We are paying attention to what is happening in the moment.

Where your body tightens.
Where it protects.
Where it shuts down.
Where it still feels like it has to hold on.

From there, we work with what your system needs in real time, using Somatic Experiencing®, advanced EMDR training, and precise neuro-subconscious work to access the deeper patterns your body has been carrying.

Sessions are 90 minutes so we have time to get beneath the surface and work with what is actually showing up in your body, your nervous system, and the patterns that have been hard to shift through insight alone.
